Not the best dark chocolate almonds in my opinion

I love healthy dark chocolate covered almonds. Recently, I found a new product by Blue Diamond. Dark chocolate flavored almonds in handy 100 calorie packs. They looked tasty and sounded like a great snack for taking to work, etc.

So I purchased a package. While I enjoyed the roasted almond flavor, the chocolate was disappointing. The dark chocolate coating was too weak with no real chocolate flavor. Basically, they tasted like slightly sweet almonds.


Furthermore, the sweet taste seemed artificial. It turned me off. According to the ingredients list, a stevia extract was used. I don't enjoy the flavor of stevia. I'll be paying more attention to that list from now on.

Well, I'll still be taking these Blue Diamond almonds to work, but not for snacking. I'll give them to someone who will enjoy them! I'll keep enjoying my favorite dark chocolate covered almonds I buy at the Sunflower Market.

I may have to buy some for my sister who just adores chocolate covered almonds.

Don't forget...almonds are heart healthy!

Go to the Godiva chocolate store. Their almonds are nicely toasted and crunchy and the dark chocolate is the right amount of dark without the bitter taste. It's amazingly chocolaty!

I wasn't crazy about these at first, but they have really grown on me. I'm glad I found this post because I could not remember where I got these.

I love these almonds! These are not meant to taste like the candy type of chocolate covered nuts. They are sort of like a dark cocoa covering, healthier than the other type too.
These are great for a snack and simply delicious!

Thanks for sharing so others can make a more informed decision. It's nice to know a little more about a new product before spending money on it.

Good thinking, giving them away instead of throwing them away. Almonds are so healthy, I'm glad someone
will benefit from your disappointment.
