A no bake chocolate oatmeal cookie.

No bake chocolate oatmeal cookies are fudgy cocoa no bake treats. 

Super simple to make. 

In a matter of minutes you'll have created some delicious, chewy, chocolate cookies.

Fudge covered oatmeal with peanut butter...yum!

Chocolate No Bake Cookie Recipe

1 stick (113 g) of margarine

1/2 cup (56 g) of natural cocoa powder

1/2 cup (118 ml) of milk

2 cups (383 g) of sugar

3 cups (241 g) of quick oats

1/2 cup (90 g) of your favorite peanut butter

1 teaspoon (4 g) vanilla extract


Saucepan with milk, margarine, cocoa and sugar.

Put margarine, cocoa powder, milk and sugar in a large saucepan (about 3 quarts) over medium/low heat.

Lumps of cocoa and partially melted margarine being heated and stirred.

Stir frequently to prevent burning and to blend the ingredients.

Fudgy chocolate coating for chocolate no bake cookies.

When your chocolate coating is all creamy and smooth, bring it to a gentle boil.

Boil for 1 minute.

Oatmeal, peanut butter and vanilla extract being mixed into the cocoa coating.

Then remove your pan from the heat.  Add oats, peanut butter and vanilla extract. 

Stir until it looks like this...

No bake chocolate oatmeal cookie batter ready to be scooped or pressed into a dish.

all mixed up.

Then you can drop scoops of your mix onto wax paper to make cookies.

Or press the batter into an 8 x 8-inch (20 x 20 x 5 cm) pan to make bar cookies.

Let the cookie mixture cool before cutting into squares.

When the no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies lose their shine, it's time to dine!



Enjoy, but remember they're not low in fat or calories.  But they do have those redeeming bits mentioned above.  Now wasn't that the easiest cookie you've ever made?  And tasty, too!
