I made brownies with cocoa powder, and they turned out very light in colour. There must be different kinds of cocoa powder.
Question: Would using extra powder have made a difference?
Answer: Yes, I use 1/2 cup of natural cocoa
powder when I make my dark chocolate brownie recipe. If you take a look at the picture on that page, you'll see how dark they turn out.
Make sure you choose dark chocolate cocoa for baking like Hersheys or Nestles and not cocoa mix for making hot cocoa.
