Is chocolate good to prevent pregnancy? Help....
Unfortunately, I don't think chocolate is going to help you prevent pregnancy.
But there is some evidence that caffeine can increase the risk of miscarriage and dark chocolate does contains caffeine.
One study showed that women who ingest at least 200mg of caffeine per day have a higher risk of miscarriage. Their risk was about twice as high as women who avoided caffeine.
And there's some research that seems to indicate that consuming large amounts of caffeine can cause conception problems. It's possible that eating a large amount before trying to get pregnant could hinder conception.
But even with this evidence, I wouldn't depend on chocolate as a birth control method.
